Prayer of Purpose

I see now, when I’m most alive, I remember the feeling. The feeling of longing to express, to possess, to adore, to love, to hold purpose, to have meaning, to gain an eternal satisfaction, and to be at complete peace. What a yearning I have!

Oh world, you will never satisfy. Oh world, you are not my purpose. Oh world, you have misdirected me. Oh world, don’t you know that worship is what I’m made for? But not for your glory, no you provide no gain, you provide no purpose.

Oh wonderful, absolutely wonderful, Creator! The joy my heart feels and my soul knows when I experience the praising of you and to be apart of it! My awesome God, the yearning I have is my purpose.

We all as humans are all craving to worship. Because, that is what we were designed to do. Turn back to worshipping God, oh soul, you will be satisfied for that is your design! What a plate is meant for a cup cannot do, everything created had a purpose made by the Creator.

But oh how far we’ve strayed from our objective of worship!

Oh God, bring us back to you!
