Your Beauty Fills the Little: A Poem
Your beauty fills the little things
The red bird, the yellow bird
They bounce, they chirp, they sing
Like you, it's sweet, gentle, and pure
What the sun shines on, you bring to life
The sunset reminds me that there is more
The oranges and pinks show love, never strife
Something about water, what I feel when it pours
The printed hummingbird on my lavender journal
Its papyrus pages invite me into time with you
Your presence at the family table, its eternal
Behold the roses, I marvel as they grow anew
Melodies, high notes, and cellos remind me of Heaven
Pure bread on earth, fresh to bake
The loaves, simplicity, unleaven
My heart, when I look for you here, it will not shake
Unshaken by the swarms around
I find rest when I daydream of dancing through a field
With you, I dance in a linen gown, how I abound
Creativity reminds me of my Creator, all is yours as I kneel
Sweet fragrance reminds me of the mother you gave me
The candlelight as her gentle love
The blanket as her comfort while I rest on her knee
The motherly, gentle, still, nature, and the above
They all point to you
Your beauty fills the little things
